For my help in arranging your funeral, you can contact me direct or through your chosen funeral director.

You can contact me when the time comes to arrange a funeral, or give my details to your chosen Funeral Director who will then contact me on your behalf.

I will visit you or your family, or use phone or email, to talk to you. We’ll chat and share ideas for the service including the spoken tribute, music and any poems or readings.

Between us we can create a service that is just right for your loved one.

When a loved one dies there are certain formalities that you have to deal with

Contact a Funeral Director of your choice as soon as possible after the death, to arrange for the body to be taken into their care.

A death certificate will need to be signed by a Doctor (in some circumstances two doctors) which you then take to the local Registrars Office to complete their paperwork. You will be given a green form to give to the Funeral Director: this is authorisation that a funeral service can be held.

At a convenient time, one of their funeral arrangers will make an appointment with you to go through the details of arranging the service.

With the funeral arranger you decide what sort of service you would like. It could be a religious service in a church or chapel; a religious or non-religious service in a Crematorium chapel; a religious or non-religious service as a burial in a cemetery or Natural Burial Ground. The celebrant chosen will reflect those choices.

In my role as celebrant I will work with you to plan all aspects of the service.

Pre-planning the Funeral Service

You can talk to Andy to pre-plan your own personal funeral service or that of a loved one. This can take uncertainty out of the planning later on for you or your relatives.

I will write up the service notes and agree them with you, leaving a copy, so that when the time comes there is no doubt that the service is exactly right.
